Cat Ketch Rigged Skiff 2Entry/Object ID
2026.A.2.2Description
Sailboat with a with flat deck and black hull with an inlaid narrow strip of natural wood on both sides near the deck and curved base. This appears to be a variation of 2026.A.2.1 and 2026.A.2.3 where Henry Wischmeyer was experimenting with different hulls. Metal "bar" near the stern that is parallel to the back of the boat. Two boards across for seats and another multi-layer seat in the back, one section has three pieces and one is single. The center features the deep keel that can be lifted up into the boat with a rope. It has an inboard keel and a different shape and size to the centerboard. The bottom is cross planked. To counter the bow being pushed off the wind, it carries a deeper rudder than the Cat Ketch Skiff 1 and avoids use of a bow skeg.Collection
