Centennial Celebration

January 11, 1911
To Members of the Association:
Upon careful investigation the writer finds that the cost of printing a book, containing an account of the celebration, together with the address and history of Miss Ida Cahoon and the family tree compiled by the Secretary, properly illustrated with photo cuts of the Rose Hill home and other interesting matter, will be about $100.00. As the balance in the Treasury after all the indebtedness of the celebration is paid is $4.02, you will readily see the funds must come from those who wish this record. After carefully going over the list of relatives, it is the opinion of the writer, that if all who expressed a desire that this publication should be attempted would pledge $2.00 for a copy the undertaking can be accomplished. If 50 pledges of this amount are received there will be a number of extra copies that can be delivered at no extra cost, but if the number falls below that extra copies will be charged for at $1.00 each.
Kindly let me know by return mail if you are willing to pay $2.00 for a copy and how many extra copies at $1.00 each you wish in order to determine if the funds are in sight to undertake this publication.
Very Truly,
