Hutschenreuther Porcelain Company was established in 1814 in the Bavarian town of Hohenburg by Carolus Magnus Hutchenreuther. In 1857, this son, Lorenz Hutchenreuther, opened his own independent factory in the town of Selb, Germany, where his growth and reputation would far exceed that of his father. "Hutchenreuther of Selb" became the first German porcelain company to compete with the likes of Haviland and Wedgewood. www.collectrosenthal.comDimensions
