Transcribed: Sunday June 15th /56 Dear Mother I write to inform you that the family are in comfort- able health and Amy has another son, born June 15th I went over to Mr. Lynds yesterday afternoon after Mr. Dafter came, to get the Paper that has Father's death in, stayed a couple of hours then came back to see how the folks were, they said they wan- ted their supper. well I went to work and got supper and helped wash the dishes then went back to Mr. Lynd's and stayed all night, came home this morning and got breakfast I do not know yet who will help do the work Ellen is not well, but there is a French woman that they talk of getting she is the same one you told about seeing when you was up here A says tell her I never had better help and never got p. 2 along better, thinks she shall be well enough to come down the first week in July, say she wishes Mary Ann good luck, Gluck[?] g[?] we have not written to Julia yet but I presumed we shall agree upon the first week in July to come home, if I do not agree upon some time for my own special accomodation before that time when Henry comes up I shall hear from you and be more contented or else come back with him, you must not clean house nor do any other extra fixing I am rather apt to be thinking about your getting sick or lonesom, Fathers watch has not stopped yet, I am satisfied with the notice in the Herald, have not seen the Journal & Messenger. Daniel had the Ague [fever] yesterday very hard, he and Amy both have it every other day. Frank is at the station about every evening. I have had some acquaintance with Fred Lynds he thinks it would have been better for Frank to have stayed away from the Station p. 3 Amy says if Henry comes up this week he may come with the horse and buggy and carry me home. so I think he will come I do not think I shall ask F__ to come down with me for I dont feel able to ride with him just now, have not got over coming up with him He enquired how Amy and Daniel were last night, I told him they both had the Ague, he said he would send down some vervain [plant soothe stress, support digestion and ease minor inflamation] but when he gets farther news I guess he will conclude not to send I guess it is time for me to quit writing I have made mistakes enough now, my mind is not on my business. Give my love to Lydia Winsor and tell her I am not sorry I came here but would like to be there now I want to hear from Laibba [?] tell S-arm[?] to be a good girl till I come Good bye Elizabeth W.
