Description
Bisque doll with head and breast plate. Bisque hair that is straight with curls around the face and neck. Blue eyes and brown painted eyebrows, peach colored lips. Arms, below the elbow with hands having detail of fingers and nails. Leg is below the knee with wire attaching it. Boots painted on with detail of embossed buttons down the front. Body is a synthetic knit. Fabric at the knee is simply cut. Stuffing seems to be fiberfill.
These dolls originally were kits by Yield House Design. The kit came with the breast plate and head, body, arms and legs. Patterns were included to construct the outfit.
Clothing seems to have originally been for another doll as it is slighty too large and has stitching added to hold it on.
B. Velvet dress of dark emerald green. There is a crochet style collar with V pointed edge. Two darts at the waist. Slightlly puffed sleeves with matching trim at the hand. White satin ribbon avove with looped detail. Velcro closure.
C. Skirt is of the same fabric with coordinating trim that is 1.25". Narrow coordinating trim at the waist. Overlapped and stitched at the waist.
D. Slip top with turned and basted neck seam. Cut bottom. Basted back seam.
E. Half slip: Gathered at the waist with velcro closure. Bottom has 2" lace at the hem.
F. Pantaloons with lace edge at the bottom and green narrow satin ribbon tied around the knee.
G. Green velvet hat with grosgrain ribbons on the side to tie and above the brim. Hand sewn and some stitching coming out. Hem just turned. Lace edge under the brim. Seven white ribbon roses with green leaf at the each side as the front trim.
