Description

According to a 09/04/1961 West Life article clipping found in album 2022.08.14.01, these pictures show young dancers from the Jones School of Ballet performing for an audience of 150 kids at the Bay Village Public Library for their Summer Reading Club participants who completed the requirements to earn a certificate which was presented on 08/25/1961. Mrs. Walter Below introduced the dancers. All dancers perform in front of a curtain (covering a window?) with midcentury print. The dark, jasped, linoleum floor of the Library is visible.
2. Cynthia Price performs in a white costume with dark trim and polka dotted chiffon straps and tutu. She wears a dark barret and black tap shoes with bows and has one hand on her hip, her right hand up in the air with wrist bent. Her photo did not appear in the article so the performance name is unknown.
