Scope and Content
Letter from Amos Osborn in Harwinton, Connecticut to his brother Reuben telling of the death of their sister, Clarissa Potter, the evening before. She had been sick nearly two years from Rheumatic fever and dropsy and had been in pain. It talks of her peace as death approached due to her faith.
Amos has been ill for about a year and nearly died at that time. Since then he has had a bad cough. He talks of his wife, Laura Marsh, as being in very good health for her age and Canfield's health being about the same. He then mentions that it would be nice to be able to see each other again, but they may not in this world.
