Mamma went down to Evening Shade and staid over two weeks. Aunt Rebecca is feeling real well I am taking music lessons now and I have to practice an hour and a half a day and that takes up a good deal of my time I have taken nine lessons and like it real well I still go to school evry day and am in the L. Grammar. Papa went to East Saginaw last Tuesday and expects to be back next Saturday Mamma Taintor had to give up [p. 2] her place and we do not think she will ever be able to do any thing again. Lora is also in very bad health. I have got my room all fixed I am glad I had the moulding put up because the pictures make the room look much better. and I thank you very much for putting it up. I received quite a number of Christmas presents. the Aunts gave me a very nice book. I didn't receive any present from you but I didn't expect to because I know you don't like little girls well enough to send them presents. I hope you wont wait wait as long as I did but write soon.
