Outlined as a formal letter with a greeting of "My dear son John:."
The first paragraph states he was glad to receive the letter from Jan. 10th which was the anniversary of his father's death.
References are made in the hope that Frank may get a military deferment extended and the rejection of Fritz. Art's mother is in the hospital. He wrote Glady's about the childrens' shoes. Purchasing shirts through Frank. John has a recent birthday and Jimmy has one on the 23rd, he was sent a book and war savings stamps...relayed wanting to stay with Schimmels Oil of Orange which they have had for sometime.
