My dear Miss Cahoon; The ladies of our chapter desire me to express to you, their thanks for the very kind invitation extended to them by you. They regret that so many of them have made other arrangements for that day that it will be impossible to accept.
We had a most delighful "Bunker Hill" meeting yesterday and adjorned to meet in October, when we will have a "Cornwallis" day.
I will notify you of the day and we will be pleased to have you join us on that occasion.
The Board of Managment National D.A.R. request their members to display the flag from their houses July 4.
Yours Truly Kate H.T. Avery [Catherine Hitchcock Tilden Avery]
