Letter from Randall Crawford, lawyer, in New Albany, Indiana to D.K. Cahoon regarding a letter from D.K. not being addressed in court.
New Albany July 7, "41
Mr D K Cahoon
Dr Sr
Your letter of the 29th May was recd here in my absence at Court. Your brothers suit may or may not be tried about next term which begins July 26th, if not then, it certainly aught to be at the Oct. term. If the trial should be dismissed it would be at his costs, & there might be much delay on the part of the State in appointing an arbitrator & bringing the matter to a hearing. And if I do not know much if anything would be primed by taking such a course. I shall defer however to your brothers an your better judgment as to which course shall be taken.
Respectfully LC
R Crawford
