New Albany Jun 1. 1846
Mr. Cahoon
Dr Sir
Yours of 25th ult [reference to something from the previous month] is rcd. Nothing has been paid in the judgt. against the state, & nothing will be till the legislation shall pass sometime on the subject. In the meantime, the judgt. would sell to great disadvantages. I have no idea what offer can be obtained for it, but will inquiring to assertain.
It will be well at the next session of our Legislation to petition for an application to satisfy this funds & I think the application would be beneficial.
Respectfully
R Crawford
