I read your note some days since & friend Potter is still absent from town. I recd the written lines from Brother Bowden last eve when I called on him he could not recollect what it was that he did quote so I send you his correspondence the matter of laying your walk I said 1/2 inch above your sod and then grade to it thurs and all well and hope this may meet you all enjoying the same blessing? of a kind Providence from your unworthy brother
