I regret as much as you do my, not coming to make you a visit. I did expect you would see me at your place when I wrote you but the ecursionists went another rout from what I expected if they had gone via of Chicago I should have gone but they only went to Toledo then via the Wabash and my business called me to the La Grosse Wi I was in search of a Wife which I found at that place + I married her on the 21 day of Jan and returned home Feby 11th I had a joyful time yes I might say an Obe joyful time perhaps you knew her her Maiden name was Lorinda Griswold + after it was changed to L. Hilliard and lastly to Mrs. L. Aldrich and I must tell you we are happy at home enjoying our Honeymoon which I hope will last while we both live I expect some day to visit you, so do not get

discouraged for I am a great hand at travel but this we can do we can write often which will help some Wife + I had a first rate good visit yesterday at Brother Henrys the whole family were at home and we had an interesting time you dont know how much I think of Henrys girls and they the same of me Aaron + Henry are making a road to the lake about 1/2 way to Wm Sadlers in the peach orchard they left their work to visit us while I was west - I visited Nathan Sanford he lives at Winona in ?Minn? west of the ?Mrifs? river had a good time there I am sorry to dissapoint you but will try and come on some excursion some time now that this wedding tour is over I expect after a little to settle down to business but not much yet I want you to be a good sister and write me once in a while until we see one another are they settling in your place much write and tell all the news about Kansas
