Mr. D.K. Cahoon has recently completed a Section of the Canal including a Lock; and the work has been done in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner. From the short acquaintance I have had with him & from the manner in which he has performed his contract, I can with confidence recommend him to those having charge of public works as being well qualified as a contractor.
