Allow me to introduce to your acquaintance bearer of this my friend Mr. Cahoon who visits Defiance for the purpose of procuring work upon your line of Canal. I have no hesitation recommending him to your favorable notice having known him as an important Contractor both in the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal and on the Baltimore & Ohio Rail Road
