British made man's dress black three piece wool suit.
A. Jacket lapel has one large buttonhole on the left. There would have been four buttons down the front, one is missing. Pockets are inset with a flap that extend around the side seam to the back. Seam that extends around the jacket, below the waist, that lines up with the last button. Back has a button at the end of the seam that goes around the waist from the front with a pleat below it. Open flap in the middle. Sleeves have been hemmed and were originally longer. Under stitching visable below the top buttonhole/button on the inside of the jacket. Buttons are cloth covered which match those on the pants. Left front pocket had a yellow woman's knit sock filled with tissue.
B. Vest: Silk with round lapel with six buttons down the front with one missing and one is in a bag attached to the hanger. Welt pockets on both sides. Lining is carmel colored cotton with a patch pocket on the left side.. Back is brown polished cotton with waist straps coming from the side seams. There are three eyelets on each side at the middle with brown twill tape connecting them.
C. Pants: Black wool with waist panel that separates in the middle having four buttons down the center. Four additonal buttons placed vertically across the top of the waistband. Two in the center of each panel used to attach the front of the pants to the waistband. Additional buttons on each side at the side seam, 2 1/2" from the waistband. Two welt pockets on either hip and one on the right waistband that is an attachment to the band. Back has two buttons related to the two front ones for suspenders. Polished cotton behind the main waistband and decorative stitching around the waist and buttons. Lined with cream colored faille fabric on the upper section.
