Net and lace wedding dress ensemble.
A. Blouse of net with a loose lining of fine silk. Plain net stand-up collar with gathered lace net at the top and the bottom. There are three rows of gathered lace in a V shape on the front that go into an on-point square. Above the top layer is small pleats that to about 2/3 of the way down. Gathered at the waist with a 1/2" silk band and 2" gathered netting extending on the bottom. Puff sleeve with heavily gathered lace below. Same pattern as the front is repeated in the opposite oreder: on-point square and three rows of downward lines of lace. 1 1/4" cuff with gathered lace at the top and bottom. 11 hook and eyes down the back to the waist.
Lining is attached at the sleeve. Stand-up collar and four sets of four narrow pleats down the front with a gathered waist. 11 hook and eyes down the back to the waist.
B. Waistband. Plain netting with three vertical strips of boning (front and sides) where it is slightly gathered. Three hook and eyes at the end. Gathered netting at the top and bottom edges. STORED WITH VEIL [2022.C.15.06G]
C. Blouse lining is plain silk with a turned neckline. French seams. Waist has a 1" band with it slightly gathered above and a 3.5" peplum below. Set-in 3/4 lenght sleeve. Six hook and eyes down the back.
D. Skirt is completely made of netting. The lace effect is also netting that is narrow with a stitch down the center. Pattern repeated from the top. Three rows of vertical netting 1 1/2" apart. There are three sets in the front and three in the back. The diamond shape is featured in the middle near the bottom of these rows. Two rows go horizontally around the skirt with it gathered below this. 7" lower are three rows of netting that are separated with a gathered edge 2" below that has gathered netting as the edge. 10.5" Opening at the back with a hook and eye at the top.
E. Skirt lining is made entirely of silk that match the upper area. Narrow waistband a 9.5" overlapped opening. Nine panels surrounding the skirt. 12" panel below with a turned top edge where it is gathered and on to of the upper layer. Layer below is 3", gathered at the top and stitche with a ruffle onto the upper panel. Turned and machine stitched hem.
F. Wrist glove. Netting has an extra stitch pattern the other components. Four rows of lace that is scolloped featureing a flower with two leaves. Upper area is flat lace with lining attached. Lining is barely attached and completely deteriorated. STORED WITH VEIL [2022.C.15.06G]
