Five Nichols & Stone Co. Windsor chairs with label and stamp. Unique design with two spindles angled back onto a protruding part of the seat. Arms. Turned wood legs and rungs. Rungs have a ball design in the middle. One rung across the back and two on the sides below it with a additional one going between the side rungs.
It is assumed that the sixth chair listed in the original accession is 2021.F.FIC.029 as a sixth with arms was not found and this is the exact same style.
Two of the chairs had been used in the parlor and Gift Shop area for volunteers to sit in.

Yellow paper label features Windsor logo and text that reads "Since / 1857 / MADE OF SELECTED / NORTHERN HARDWOODS / NICHOLS & STONE CO. / "The Home of Windsor Chairs" / GARDNER, MASSACHUSETTS" A1 is listed in the top right corner. 891 is handwritten in the bottom left corner and 020 in the bottom right corner. 20 is burned into the wood as is the Nichols & Stone Co. logo.
