My dear Julia,
If there is ever a
time where one wishes she were
well it is when her friend is
ill and needs her.
It would be my wish to see
you and do something to relieve
you in your illness, but you
known I cannot help you with my
presence.
So, you will accept the written
word of sympathy -----
that the fellow feeling for you
comes from my heart I must
be content.
I trust the accident Mr.
Mitchell sustained is not
a very painful or serious one
but know you must have in
addition to your own ill health
that sorrow to bear for him.
We do have much to suffer
sometimes. The strength to endure
secures to come with it and
helps is to trust and be patient.
Until I see you please remem-
-ber you are often in my thoughts
and I wish you all the blessings
which can come to you.
How thankful you must be
that your dear daughter can minister
you both!
We shall hope for more cheering
word from you in the near future.
With memories of other days, long
since claimed by the treasured
past.
Your sincere friend
