Dear Ladies,-
I was a happy, happy little girl,
so happy I was in just a whirl,
and I'd like to tell you in a rhyme
I never had so nice a time;
I had never been from home so far
Ridden but once in a street car;
Never been down in the city at night,
And seen it by the electric light.
So you all may readily see
Why this was "Wonder-land" to me.
Miss Laura said, "This is the Arcade,"
I walked right in, not a bit afraid,
For it was so light all the way,
I almost forgot it was not day.
As there closed behind me a big door
I found myself inside a candy store.
