Scope and Content
Post card from the DAR to Mrs. Joel Cahoon. The postcard relates the DAR's efforts to solicit funds to create the "Columbian Liberty Bell". The DAR solicited funding but the response from members was "not cordial". The bell was cast anyway and was a huge success at the Columbian Exibition and on the 4th of July celebration in Chicago. The postcard goes on to request that each member purchase a copy of the "Liberty Primer."
