Redwork embroidery blocks on cream fabric to create a bed cover as there is no batting. 7 blocks across and 7 down that are 11" x 11.5". Each square has a different picture embroidered in red (flowers, teapot, dog with boot, woman with cat on porch, hen and chicks, U.S. flag, "93, coin, grapes, mouse, butterfly, elephant and cat in boot). 1893 block in the midde, with a woman in a short dress which would indicate a later date for the quilt. Handmade. Fabric is similar to a sheet with 7/8" binding of cream fabric. Blocks are put together with a flat felled seam that is topstitched.Relationships
