63rd Infantry Division's shoulder patch is often nicknamed the "Blood and Fire" division. The patch features a yellow sword surrounded by a red flame. The design was inspired by a statement from British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in 1943, who pledged that the enemy "would bleed and burn".
