1816 one-cent coin with hole drilled through it
Tag associated with coin reads: "This cent belongs to Bertha Norton Jr., it was given to her by Mr. James Wood in the summer of 1908 at Mount Kisco. It was found by some Italians on Mr Woods place--The date is 1816--and by a curious coincedence it so happened that the last slave in New York State was freed in that year--at Mount Kisco--through the influence of Mr. Wood's father--from the house where Baby Bertha spent the summer of 1908 with her parents--"
