Description

Matador's sword with red leather cover and heavy leather embossed case with buckles and handle for carrying (3 pieces in total). Sword shows imprint of "M. Bermejo", maker of most Spanish swords, located in Toledo, Spain. Sword belonged to Bong Way Wong, resident of Berkeley who became a bullfighter in Spain in the 1960s (named "El Chino"). Case is very heavy and shaped in a semicircle with a metal base. Top slides down over tube and buckles shut. Label on the back is probably a customs label. Sword cover has a metal base and top.
