Continental America's first sake brewery, the Numano Sake Company, was dedicated today (Thursday, March 29) at 708 Addison Street, Berkeley, California. The 47,000 square foot facility, located on a three and one half acre site of a former dairy, will produce 250,000 cases annually of the traditional Japanese alcoholic beverage, sake. Established through a joint venture of Numano International, Los Angeles, and Pacific International Rice Mills, Inc., PIRMI, San Francisco, the Numano Sake Company represents an example of United States business initiative utilizing private capital to develop products that will challenge foreign imports and help reduce the American balance of payment deficit. 798 Addison Street.Made/Created
