Description

Round, flat, metal button with pin on back. Brown background with white text: "Gus Schultz April 21". Unclear what the button date refers to. b: 1935 d: 2007. He served on the Berkeley Planning Commission 1981-83. He was pastor of University Lutheran Chapel, an advocate of social justice (locally and globally...he was widely recognized and traveled widely in this capacity). Won the Berkeley Peace Prize in 1985, started the Emergency Food Project and was at the forefront of the Sancuary Movement.
