Basket and lid woven of 1/2" wide strips of palm, reed or bamboo. Basket is squarish, with a long, looped (double) handle wrapped with 1/8" strips. Handle is stiched to bottom and sides, making a complete circle around the basket. Base is approx. 10" high and has a lid approx. 4" high, which fits over the top of the "base" . White paper tag on handle reads: "Mending basket which came around the horn according to CCH".Lexicon
