Description

Cream top glass milk bottle with cardboard cap/pull tab. Clear glass with red text on bottle. Bottom 2/3 of bottle is squarish and top part dips in, then out, to a roundish neck, where the cream would separate. Cap is red, white & blue. Text on sides of bottle: "South Berkeley Creamery, Oakland" on front and "Baby's best friend" on the back. On the back a picture of a small child, sitting down with a milk bottle to the side. Text around the top of the bottle: "Independently owned J.A. Sabatte' ". Cap text: "SOUTH BERKELEY CREAMERY J.A. SABATTTE GRADE A MILK PASTERIZED OAKLAND 875-58TH ST. OAKLAND". Renamed Berkeley Farms in 1956. See also 2015.052.001 for a history of the company.
