This steam shovel is breaking ground for Berkeley's new telephone office. (left) John D. Holmes, Tri-city area manager, discusses the plans with manager B.A. Glover of Berkeley. Next is F.M. Buck, telephone pioneer and Chester Kelly, Berkeley wire chief. E.F. Louideck, president of the Berkeley Chamber Of Commerce is at the throttle of the steam shovel while Secretary Keeler of that organization gets up the Steam.
