Metal street sign, white with black "GROVE" and "1900 (with arrow pointing to the right)". (1900 block). Grove Street was changed to Martin Luther King Jr. Way in 1984. It was/is a prominent Street stretching several miles north from downtown Oakland to North Berkeley. Grove Street was named in 1878 and is one of the few streets in Berkeley that has had it's name changed.
