Heavy metal (brass) plaque: "Presented to the City of Berkeley by the Berkeley Lodge of Elks BPOE No. 1002 as a continuous reminder of the obligations we owe to those who gave their lives in World War II February 1948". Originally at the foot of a flagpole at Shattuck Ave., & Center St. and removed when the Berkeley Center Street Bart station was remodeled in 2016.
