Description

2 Round wood bowls with lids. Used to hold playing pieces (discs/stone) for Go game. The bowls were used in a Japanese internment camp during WWII and later after the war by evacuees who temporarily stayed at a house at 1813 University Ave. in Berkeley. See also 2017.015.001-2017.015.005 for board and pieces/discs. Both bowls are cracked and 1 is also taped.
