Scope and Content

This collection includes correspondence, photographs, video tapes, notebooks, photo albums, newspaper clippings, manuscripts, magazines, artwork, and other miscellaneous materials primarily created by descendants of the Boynton-Treadwell family. The objects vary in shape and size, from small photographs, to letters and program flyers, to many oversized photographs and artworks. Dates of objects primarily range from late 1800s through early 2000s. This collection offers insight into the day-to-day life, creative visions, and performance histories of the Treadwell-Boynton-Quitzow-Braun family and colleagues that created the Temple of [the] Wings’ dance legacy.
