1 staff tip, 27.60, Smiths Tribe, 1759. BHS 88. Attached description says ‘This silver staff head was the head of the Smith’s tribe militia colour staff in 1759 and belonged to Ensign Jennings of that Militia Company, as I have heard from my father Richard Darrell, formerly of Devonshire Parish. Ensign Jennings was a younger son of Smith’s Tribe (or as since called Smith’s Parish); Joseph Jennings daughter Mary was the wife of George Darrell of Pembroke Parish and the mother of the aforenamed Richard Darrell’ John Harvey Darrell, Cavendish, Bermuda, 21 December 1883.
