Dr. Henry C. Wilkinson. Colour photograph, 12 x 10, of oil portrait of the late Dr. Henry C. Wilkinson (1893-1978), CBE, BA, MD, DTM, Bermuda's leading historian, President, Past-President and leading member of the Bermuda Historical Society. Dr. Wilkinson's book on Bermuda, "Bermuda From Sail to Steam - A History of the Island from 1784 to 1901", published by the Oxford University Press, is considered (with Lefroy's book) one of the historical "Bibles" for Bermuda's history. A copy is available for inspection in the Reference Department of the Bermuda Library, adjacent to the Bermuda Historical Society Museum. In blue 20 x 14 matt, in 22 x 15.75 gold, glassed frame. Donated to the Society in October 1989 by Mr. David Wilkinson, MP., and Mrs. Wilkinson. Dining Room.
