PitcherDescription
Pitcher is formed of five parts, a base section, two side panels, a handle and an applied rim. The base section is made up of four rows of geometric rectangles; the first three rows are similar in size, and the bottom row is longer in shape. The side panels make up the neck and body of the pitcher, with the neck sloping out to a wide body that tapers slightly towards the base. The handle starts at the top of the neck and ends in the middle of the body. The applied rim extends over the neck slightly, and slopes down slightly to form a spout at the front.Made/Created

Lancaster, OhioNotes
In 1938 the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation started production of a new type of red glass named Royal Ruby, in which the deep red color was achieved by the addition of cuprous (copper) oxide to the molten glass rather than gold chloride. Eliminating gold from the process reduced the costs but the manufacturing process was still exacting, and Royal Ruby glassware was still generally not made in large quantities.Dimensions
