EXHIBIT TEXT: Going Dutch The tall stoneware bottle from L’Herminie (1838) was made as a container for Dutch gin or mineral water, and differs only slightly from another found on the Caesar (1818). The larger brown stoneware bottle was made in Holland or Flanders in the late 18th century. (SEE/SAME TEXT FOR L.96.165).
