This was donated as a part of large collection by Dr. Norman Beaupré. Inside the box was a black derby and also a black bowtie ( see also MS002.02 and MS002.03). The woman on the cover of the lid indicates it was likely originally made for a woman's hat, but the men's items inside demonstrate it's use for storage and protective value.Collection
