Pierre Painchaud was founder of Painchaud's Band, the longest consecutive running band in the country, lasting over 100 years. He was also instrumental in bringing the arts into Biddeford, ME and a well known actor. This is him in one of his roles as Gaspard, the miser in the Chimes of Normandy, an opera, which was shown at the Biddeford City Theater on November 6, 1879.Category
