There was an image of a sheet of stamps that constantly came to me, perhaps an etching or a lithograph, I could not foretell. I created the drawing because it was unresolved, and a sure thing I could control before the intracacies of printmaking interfered and took their toll (or, as more likely, added!). The silver added something that I didn't expect--the changing light as I worked on it and saw at it from different perspectives--similarly to the different perspectives that I could get in my serial versions of the targets.
