"Economy engine - 5 HP, manufactured about 1910. Lester Lind purchased this economy engine about 1983 It was used as an additional power source when he and Mary Beth were maintaining and operating the old mill near Harman, West Virginia It powered an old planer and a portable stone mill among other things. The engine sold for $700.00 in August 2009 at the Dr. Samuel Bucher family estate auction Mark Showalter and Alex M. Neff helped to restore the engine to running condition. Larry Martin located and restored the trick on which the engine is mounted. The engine is now donated to the Valley Brethren and Mennonite Heritage Center to become part of the CrossRoads historical collection. Cliff Lind"
