Originally launched at the New York Auto Show in 1961, the Amphicar 770 was produced in West Germany from 1960-1965, with model years ranging from 1961-1968 as they were distributed through Europe and North America. A total of 3,878 units were produced in this time and roughly 400 are known to exist today. The 770 model designation was based on 7 mph in water, 70mph on the street. Restoration appears correct and complete. 184 miles accumulated since restoration.
