One of only 433 "Custom Runabouts" built by Chris Craft between 1939 and 1942. The 1939 and 1940 models featured the "Bugatti" dual folding windscreens. The Barrel Back model is regarded as the most iconic Chris Craft design of all time with its extreme tumble home stern design. Some rare options on this boat include the Deluxe gauge panel, marbleized banjo steering wheel, and apple-green boot stripe. This example was purchased in restored condition from a Lake Tahoe collector with further restoration work & general maintenance completed by Van Dam following purchase.
