Sea Lyon Overview and Historical Background:1929 30’ Sea Lyon Maski-II Hull Number 206 This boat was originally owned by the founder of the Colegate company. Owned in 1980’s by John Libaire of New York. Around 1980 the Sea-Lyon had been in storage because original Sterling Petrel was rusted out from salt water operation. Owner located a pair of post war Sterlings from a 40’ Dawn cruiser and had the motors rebuilt by Danny Acierno and one of them was installed in the Sea Lyon. Bottom is an early replacement, reportedly around 1940’s. Much side and deck work as well as other restoration work completed by Diamond Boat Works in the late 1980’s or early 1990’s. Boat is currently in average restored condition cosmetically and is not operational and has not been run in a significant period of time
