Object. Polled carpenter’s adze, stamped “O. Sawyer.” Square poll, 1 3/8” x 1 “ end, 3 1/2” long. Blade is 2 5/8” W, c. 4 1/4” long. Short (6 3/8 x 1 “ dia) round handle. Oliver Sawyer was a Bolton blacksmith. (Old Acc. No. 70.09.01)
