Object. Polled carpenter’s adze, stamped “O. Sawyer, [illegible] Bolton, Mass” Tapered rectanglular poll, 1 1/4 to 1” x c. 2 1/2” x 1/2” deep. Blade is 5 1/8 at widest, c. 5” long. Only a partially rotted away handle, c. 11 long remains.
