Document - Manuscript. A group functioning during the 1860’s called “The Band of Hope Club” had a semi-monthly publication called “The Gem,” edited by Frances Caswell. This collection is several editorials for The Gem, hand bound, apparently by Ms. Caswell. Also a separate unsigned, undated manuscript intended for The Gem.
