Description

Evelyn Fortune Bartlett watercolor, Apple Bananas and Sea Fan. Watercolor painting on paper depicts a stalk of small yellow bananas on a green stem suspended by a loop of brown wire to an unseen support. Vertical piece of lavender and brown sea fan in the background along with a plaid cloth. In lower left object left corner is a pencil signature - Evelyn Bartlett. Painted at Bonnet House. Carl Weinhardt collected almost all of EFB's paintings from White Hall and brought them to Bonnet House while he was Director, After his death Jack and Mary Wilcox hung them in the Gallery and afterward EFB adjusted them to suit #7, John Herron Art Museum, 1934
